0079 Waiting for Eagle Lady
Homer, Alaska
During the winter, every morning at 7 PM, Jean Keene, known world-wide as The Eagle Lady, feeds between 200 and 300 Bald Eagles that flock to her tiny yard on the Homer Spit. The two eagles depicted in this limited photograph, along with several hundred of their compatriots, arrived a good half hour before feeding time.

Note: The Eagle Lady crossed over January 13, 2009. She will be missed by everyone, especially her Eagles.

Edition of 500
